While nearly all Americans head to family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Senate is gearing up for a vote on Monday or Tuesday that goes to the very heart of who we are as Americans. The Senate will be voting on a bill that will direct American military resources not at an enemy shooting at our military in a war zone, but at American citizens and other civilians far from any battlefield — even people in the United States itself.
Thank you for brutalizing peaceful Occupy protesters. In doing so, you have solidified the protests, brought them to the headlines, and rallied the apathetic because your heinous actions. Every time you attack a protester, the movement gains ten more supporters to take their place. I started out not knowing where to stand on the Occupy protests, but after seeing police pepper spray, tear gas, and brutalize protesters, I can now say with certainty and absolute confidence where my loyalties lie.
Oh shit, I lied, no jokes here.
Fuck police brutality.
